Bellwood Construction Ltd recently worked closely with NHS Management to redesign and improve the hospital entrance drop-off area, creating a safer, more efficient space for patients, visitors, pedestrians and vehicles.

The project focused on improving traffic flow around the hospital entrance while providing a clearly designated drop-off area. This helped reduce congestion and made it easier for patients and visitors to access the hospital safely and comfortably.

As part of the works, existing grassed areas were removed to make better use of the available space. Bellwood also installed bespoke canopy areas, providing sheltered waiting spaces for patients outside the hospital entrance.

Additional upgrades included improvements to drainage and lighting, helping to ensure the area was practical, safe and suitable for everyday hospital use.

The completed works have helped create a more organised, accessible and welcoming entrance area for the hospital, supporting both patient experience and the smooth movement of traffic and pedestrians.
